Dr. Kristina Lemmer and WMU Graduate Student, Margaret Mooney talk about how their research is being used for NASA as well as discuss Mooney’s path to a future in space research. Margaret Mooney was a 2018-2019 Graduate fellowship awardee whose project worked on the Interactions Between Iodine and Thermionic Emitting Insert Materials for the Design of Hollow Cathodes. Dr. Kristina Lemmer is not only a current Research Seed awardee, but has also been a keynote speaker at our annual Fall Conference. Lemmer’s current MSGC grant is contributing to her broad work on cathodes for electric propulsion.
